Stop tank overflow
An overflow alarm tells you the tank is spilling. Then someone still has to run to switch the pump off. A Nexomatic water level controller does both jobs: it stops the pump before the tank is full and sends an alert to your phone.

It depends on the pump. A typical domestic pump moves several hundred to over a thousand litres an hour, so a tank left overflowing for twenty minutes can lose hundreds of litres, plus the electricity used to pump it.
