A small battery sensor that reports how bright a room actually is, in lux, so lighting rules stop running on the clock and start running on daylight. It is what turns "switch the hall light on at 6 PM" into "switch it on when the hall drops below 100 lux" — earlier on a dark monsoon afternoon, later in May. Third-party Zigbee hardware integrated into Nexomatic: it joins our own coordinator, so no vendor cloud sits in the control path.

Daylight, Not the Clock
A timer switches the light on at the same moment in December and June. A lux threshold switches it on when the room is actually dark.
Dimming That Tracks the Sky
Feed the level into the dimmer and the room holds a steady brightness as the afternoon fades, instead of stepping at fixed times.
Curtains on Light
