A water level controller in Tamil Nadu costs from about ₹2,000 to over ₹15,000. The difference is not the box on the wall. It is the sensor, how it is powered, and whether the controller switches the motor or only tells you the level.
Price by type
These are typical ranges seen on Google Shopping and marketplaces in October 2026. Prices move often, so treat them as a guide.
| Type | What it does | Typical price |
|---|---|---|
| Basic controller | Motor on/off at fixed levels, cable to the tank | From about ₹2,000 |
| RF wireless controller | Motor on/off, radio link to the tank, no app | ₹2,499 – ₹4,499 |
| Wi-Fi app controller | Motor on/off plus live level on your phone | ₹4,999 – ₹15,499 |
| Solar wireless controller | No wiring at the tank, sensor powered by sun | From about ₹9,999 |
What you are paying for
- The sensor. A float or probe touches the water and wears out. A radar sensor reads the level from above, to within millimetres, and has nothing in the water to corrode. See float vs ultrasonic vs radar.
- Power at the tank. A wired or adapter-powered sensor needs a cable or a socket near the tank. A solar sensor needs neither, which matters most on a terrace with no power point.
- Motor control. Some controllers only show the level and alert you. Others also start and stop the motor by themselves.
- The app. Live level, low and full alerts, a motor schedule for corporation water timings, and a maximum run-time cut-off that protects the pump.
AquaPilot kit prices
Every AquaPilot kit uses the same contactless radar sensor and the Nexomatic app. Prices include GST.
| Kit | What it includes | MRP | Offer price |
|---|---|---|---|
| AquaPilot View (USB Monitor) | Radar sensor, adapter, 10 ft cable | ₹10,299 | ₹7,499 |
